My journey into ancestral health kicked off when I was fed up with fatigue, illness, and lethargy. I knew there had to be a better way to live—a way to navigate life with energy, efficiency, and kindness.
Through gradual improvements and living more ancestrally, I found my path to healing. Here’s how I did it:
- Enjoyed whole, unprocessed foods while steering clear of processed items and industrial seed oils.
- Added healthy fats like avocados, olive oil, and fatty fish, and increased intake of animal fats, organ meats, raw dairy, and seafood—superfoods for optimal health.
- Enhanced stress management and sleep quality through circadian alignment by getting more sunlight in the morning and throughout the day.
- Embraced ancestral movement by incorporating more daily activity, including sprints and heavy lifting.
Many dismiss ancestral living, thinking our ancestors died young. However, high infant mortality skewed their average lifespan. Those who survived childhood often lived as long as we do today, often healthier. Modern hunter-gatherers, like the Hadza of Tanzania, show lower rates of chronic diseases thanks to natural diets and active lifestyles, proving the benefits of ancestral practices.
By adopting these practices, I bid farewell to chronic medications, started achieving my goals, and felt healthier and more vibrant.
Then I thought, how can I help others? Our true goal is to genuinely improve everyone’s quality of life.That’s how Lifr was born.
